Our PTSA is entirely run by volunteers and we are actively in need of more helping hands. Prior experience is not necessary. We welcome everyone to volunteer and become an active member of our community.
All volunteers must complete a background check every other year per the Renton School District policy. It only takes a few minutes to complete the form.

We’re looking for dev support for this PTSA website. This is our main source of communication and we rely on a fully functioning site to gather volunteers, donations, and sign ups for events. If you are a software dev or proficient in WordPress, we’d love your help to ensure the site runs smoothly at all times.

Harvest Carnival (Committee)
The Harvest Carnival is one of Hazelwood’s most beloved events of the year full of fun, games, prizes, fall decor, and food!
We are in need of co-leads and committee members to plan the details for this event. You will have a board representative with a great blueprint to help you get started. This event takes place on October 25. Find a friend and sign up today!

We are in need of many volunteers on Saturday, October 25th for day-of festivities–from set-up to tear-down, and running games and booths to ensure that those in attendance have the most fun possible.Â

Our school is hosting a dental clinic on Tuesday, November 4th and our school Nurse is looking for volunteers to help with day-of logistics.
We are looking for 4 total volunteers from 9:45am – 12:00pm & 12:00pm-2:30pm.

Field Day
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this year’s Field Day a fun and successful event for all students! Whether you can assist with games, setup, or cleanup, your support will make a big difference.
Mustang Stampede Fun Run (Day Of)
The Mustang Stampede Fun Run is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and takes place on September 24.
If you’d like to be present for the Fun Run, consider volunteering the day of to provide drinks to students, count laps, or cheer on your favorite kids! We’re looking for a number of volunteers to ensure everything *runs* smoothly.
5th Grade Promotion
In keeping with Hazelwood tradition, 4th grade families are especially invited to support, allowing 5th grade families to fully enjoy the celebration.
Summer Garden Care
We need families to come to the school garden to water and weed throughout the summer! You can sign up for one time, or for a week at a time, whatever works for you! Everything you need for tending the garden will be in the tool box. A pass code will be provided in a reminder email two days before your scheduled day.

Inge Kaiser
Inge Kaiser exemplifies outstanding service through her dedication, initiative, and heart. As a driving force on the PTSA board, she goes above and beyond—quietly leading, supporting, and turning ideas into action. Inge is the person who brings everything together, strengthening our school with every step she takes. Next year she will serve as the PTSA President. Rebecca McRevy
Rebecca McRevy goes above and beyond to support students of all learning styles, making each one feel seen, valued, and empowered. Her deep commitment to the IEP and 504 process, along with her strong partnerships with families, ensures students receive the tools they need to thrive. More than a teacher, Rebecca is a mentor and advocate whose empathy, dedication, and heart set her apart. We will miss Ms. McRevy next year as she embarks on her next chapter.

Kevin Henley leads with action, heart, and unwavering dedication. From PTSA events to after-school programs, he builds lasting connections with students, staff, and families, creating a welcoming and inclusive school community. Whether mentoring Safety Patrol or dancing at school events, Kevin’s presence inspires, supports, and uplifts.
