Hazelwood students will be running to help our school raise $30\,000 for STEM enrichment\, technology resources\, community events\, garden and art supplies and curriculum\, books for all grades\, music and P.E. resources and and most of all supports and enriches the education of all students in our community. SUMMARY:Walk to School Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Hazelwood PTSA is celebrating National Walk To School Day to help our students learn how to walk to school safely and create healthy daily habits. Students (along with their caregivers) will meet at Risdon Field at 7:45am and walk to Hazelwood together. Mr. Henley will lead us in some stretches and warm-ups. Bus riders will join us at Hazelwood and walk around the playground and field before heading to their classrooms. \nPlease take note that the nature trail we’ll be taking includes a dirt/gravel path and some stairs.

SUMMARY:National PTA Reflections Contest 2025
DESCRIPTION:The National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts. This 50+ year-old program helps students explore their own thoughts\, feelings and ideas\, develop artistic literacy\, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life. \nThis year’s theme is “I Belong!” Students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-created theme. Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 students are encouraged to submit original works of art in one or more of the following categories: \n\n\nDance Choreography\nMusic Composition\nFilm Production\nLiterature\nPhotography\nVisual Arts\n\nStudents who identify as having a disability may enter in the Accessible Arts division or grade division most closely aligned to their support needs. \nReflections submission deadline: November 26\, 2025 \nFULL CATEGORY DETAILS >>\nPRINTABLE SUBMISSION FORM >>\nONLINE SUBMISSION FORM >> \nStudent entries submitted to the local\, state and national level go through multiple rounds of review by esteemed arts professionals across the country. DESCRIPTION:The Hazelwood Care Closet provides essential items to support Hazelwood families in need. This fall the PTSA is hosting a food drive for our Care Closet Community. \nRED DONATION BAGS will be sent home with students as an easy way to transport donations to school. Bus riders may bring their red bags to class for teachers to collect. DESCRIPTION:The Harvest Carnival is one of Hazelwood’s most beloved events full of fun\, games\, prizes\, food\, and costumes encouraged (but not required). \n* SENSORY QUIET HOUR: 1-2PM *\nWe will have a special sensory quiet hour at the beginning of the carnival– it is a time and space for children who would benefit from a calm\, quiet and accessible environment\, whereas areas around the school during the carnival may cause sensory overload. \n  \nTICKETS ON SALE NOW – PURCHASE HERE!\nAdmission purchase includes access to all games\, crafts\, popcorn & water booth\, and activities\, plus 5 tickets for prize drawing entries! \n$10 per child  |  $20 max per family\nChildren 3 and under are FREE. There is no charge for grown-ups accompanying a child.\n \n  \nVOLUNTEERS NEEDED – SIGN UP HERE!\nA large amount of volunteers are needed to make this event successful! Grab a friend and sign up for a shift!\n \nHIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – SIGN UP HERE! \n  \nWe keep the cost of entry low in hopes that more of our community can join us.
