The Great PTA Sign-Up Day is almost here! WSPTA’s goal is to increase our statewide membership by 5,000 members by January 31!
By joining a local PTA, like Hazelwood Elementary PTA, a member becomes part of the Washington State PTA, the largest volunteer and child advocacy organization in the state. Our future leaders, innovators, and citizens are our children, and our children are given their best chances to succeed when we all work together. Definitely not! Anyone in the Hazelwood community is welcome to attend the PTSA general membership meetings but in order to vote on important measures in the meetings, you will need to be a paid member. These forums are a great place to get updates on what’s happening at our school and provide feedback or ideas on how to make the Hazelwood experience the best it can be. We would love to see you there!
Before you volunteer, you’ll need to complete a background check with the Renton School District. That’s it! It only takes a few minutes to complete. If you plan on volunteering in the classrooms at any point this year, we recommend filling this out as soon as possible so you can be ready to help when needed.
Yes! We just require that those people volunteering in the classrooms complete a background check through the Renton School District before volunteering. Anyone is welcome to attend our community events!
